MEDIA RELEASE - For Immediate Release: August 6, 2013 - KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. –
August 6, 2013– The Fuzzy Peach of Boiling Springs, North Carolina announced today that they will partner with Carolina Music Awards winner Country Band, Dixie Still of Bessemer City, North Carolina in a joint effort to help raise awareness and money for the children in the community who are fighting Cystic Fibrosis. The Fuzzy Peach will host a Meet-and-Greet on Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at their location, 117 E. College Avenue, Boiling Springs, NC.

Dixie Still will perform live and feature a special guest of honor, Miss Madison, who is a Cleveland County child currently battling cystic fibrosis. You can read more about her story by logging onto The Fuzzy Peach will have a wide variety of frozen yogurt flavors to choose from and there will also be a silent auction during the event with items donated by: The Fuzzy Peach, Dixie Still, Southern Belle Marketing, LLC, The Printin’ Press, 238 Cherokee Street Grill, Carolinas First Defense, Skooterz Saloon, as well as various other local businesses. A portion of the proceeds from the event as well as all of the proceeds from the silent auction will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation- Carolinas Chapter located in Charlotte, NC in honor of “Madison’s Hope.”

Dawn Alexander, owner of The Fuzzy Peach said, “I am excited about the opportunity to host an event that will raise awareness for cystic fibrosis and help a little girl in our community.” Holly Robinson of Dixie Still said, “We would like to dedicate the song, “Dark Horse” off our new album “Rumor” to those who are currently battling CF. The Carolina Music Awards took place at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh. The biggest night for music in the Carolinas took place Saturday, July 6th, recognizing and honoring artists who represent a range of genres from Hip Hop to Rock, Country to Latin. 

Congratulations to Dixie Still for taking home the Country Group of the Year award at the 6th Annual Carolina Music Awards!

Dixie Still will be among the top country bands in North and South Carolina this year after learning of their nomination at the Carolina Music Awards. North and South Carolina music fans will be casting their votes until July 1st and the winners will be announced at the awards' show held at the Progress Energy Center in Raleigh, NC on July 6th.

Dixie Still will also be performing on July 5th at The Deep South Bar in Raleigh for the nominee's concert.
